Dr. Odesa M. Weatherford-Jacobs

Dr. Weatherford-Jacobs teaches Human Psychology and Development, Theories of Personality, Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Educational Psychology, Economics, Foundations of American Education, Multicultural Education Teaching in a Pluralistic Society, and Classroom Technology. 

Dr. Weatherford has presented workshops and presentations both nationally and internationally. In the spring of 2005, Dr. Weatherford-Jacobs presented a workshop in Verona, Italy on the topic of “Diversity and Education in a Global Society.” Her research interests are related to the psychological, historical, social, cultural and political issues that influence the American education experience. She is the Assistant Dean of the College of Education at Harris-Stowe State University.

Education: DR. Odesa M. Weatherford-Jacobs earned her Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Studies at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Her dissertation research investigated the influence of German historian, educator, and philosopher G. W. F. Hegel on the early writings of W. E. B. Du Bois.
